RECOMMENDED ACTION: That Council, by motion action, direct the City Clerk to post for the
vacancy on the San Joaquin County Emergency Food and Shelter
Program.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office received notification of the resignation of
Board Member, Paul Tarbell (filed). It is, therefore, recommended
that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the vacancy
below.

State statute requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to
submit an application. The City Council is requested to direct the City Clerk to make the necessary
postings.

on the San Joaquin County
Emergency Food & Shelter Program
The City of Lodi is currently accepting applications for
the S.J. County Emergency Food & Shelter Program,
which is empowered to identify the needs of citizens with
regard to food and shelter throughout San Joaquin
County.
The group meets several times a year with meetings
held in the Stockton area. The group consists of
representatives from throughout the County - one from
the Lodi area - each serving an unspecified term.
Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1)
vacancy. Applications may be obtained from the City
Clerk's office at 221 W. Pine St., 2"d floor. For more
information call 333-6702, or access the City's Web
site at www.lodi.gov.
Appointments to this group will be made by the Mayor
with Council approval.
Note: You must be registeredto vote in San Joaquin
County at the time of application. This is a volunteer,
unpaid position.
