AGENDA TITLE: Accept Improvements Under Contract for the Public Safety Building
Fire/Smoke Damage Demolition and Clean Up, 230 West Elm Street

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the "Public
Safety Building Fire/Smoke Damage Demolition and Clean Up,
230 West Elm Street" contract.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to Primo -Clean Restorative Services, of
Lodi, on February 22, 2005, in the amount cf $45,593.02. The
contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the
plans and specifications approved by City Council.
The contract completion date was March 18, 2005, and the actual completion date was March 18, 2005.
The final contract price was $47,023.02. The difference between the contract amount and the final
contract price is due to one change order for $1,430.00. This change order was to cover the contractor's
cost of construction and performance bonds, which were not included in the original bid but were
approved by the City Council at the time of award.
Following acceptance by the City Council, the City Engineerwill file a Notice of Completion with the
County Recorder's office.
FISCAL IMPACT: None. The City has received insurance moneys to cover the cost of this work.
FUNDING AVAILABLE: Budgeted Fund: 300202.7334
