COUNCIL COMMUNICATION
AGENDA TITLE: Accept donations from Lodi Tokay Rotary for the Ron Williamson Youth Area sign project,
the Lodi Association of Realtors, Inc. for new park name signs for Blakely Park and Legion
Park, the Lodi Lions Club for the purchase of new trash receptaclesfor Legion Park and
the purchase of engineered fibar for Emerson Park, Henry Glaves Park and Legion
Park and appropriate the donated funds toward the various park projects

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept donations from Lodi Tokay Rotary for the Ron
Williamson Youth Area sign project. the Lodi Association of Realtors, Inc.
for new park name signs for Blakely Park and Legion Park, the Lodi Lions
Club for the purchase of new trash receptaclesfor Legion Park and the
purchase of engineered wood fibar for Emerson Park, Henry Glaves Park
and Legion Park and appropriate funding toward the various park projects.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Soroptimist International of Lodi Sunrise donated $4250.00 toward the
purchase of new playground equipment for Blakely Park. The Lodi Tokay
Rotary donated $2580.00 toward the purchase of materials for the Ron
Williamson Youth Area sign project. The Lodi Association of Realtors, Inc.
donated $2615.00 toward the purchase of new park name signs for Blakely Park and Legion Park. The Lodi Lions
Club has agreed to donate $3880.00 toward the purchase of new trash receptaclesfor Legion Park and $4152.00
toward the purchase of engineered wood fibar for Emerson Park, Henry Glaves Park and Legion Park. Staff has
worked with the above-mentioned groups on the projects listed and recommendsthe acceptance and appropriation
of the donations.
