AGENDA TITLE: Adopt a resolution awa'ding the bid for 3-phase sectionalizing module
enclosures to the low beer, Wesco Distribution, Sari Francisco, in the
amount of $11,390.90 ( UD)

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adapt a resolution awarding the bid for the
purchase of twenty 3-phase sectionalizing module enclosures to the
low bidder, Wesco Distribution, San Francisco, in the amount of
$11,393.90,
BACKGROUND INFORMATION On April 16, 2003, the Crty Council approved specifications and
authorized advertisement for bids for these 3-phase moduleen-
closures.
Bid forms; were seat to the manufacturer in Minnesota, Malton Equipment Company, and to the three factory -
authorized distributors serving the western United Mates, Bids were opened on April 30, 2003, with the
following results-.
Masco Distribution, San Francisco $11,390.90
Southwest Power, Benicia, CA $12,391.25
raybar Electric, Sacramento No Response
Some of the subdivisions planned for service installation that require these module enclosures are Century
Meadows #1 Units 2 and 3, Century Meadows #2 Unit 4, Century Meadows 93 Unit 4, Almondwood Estates,
Legacy Estates, and Woodhaven 3. Delivery of the units is expected in about six weeks.

WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of
this City Council sealed bids were received and publicly opened on April 30, 2003, at 11.00 a.m.
for twenty 3-phase sectionalizing module enclosures described in the specifications therefore
approved by the City Council on April 16, 2003; and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report
thereof filed with the City Manager as follows:
Adder Bid
Wesco Distribution, San Francisco $11,390.90
Southwest Power, Benicia, CA $12,391.25
Graybar Electric, Sacramento No Response
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends award of the bid for twenty 3-phase
sectionalizing module enclosures be made to the low bidder, Wesco Distribution, of San
Francisco, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of the
bid for twenty 3-phase sectionalizing module enclosures be made to the low bidder, Wesco
Distribution, of San Francisco, California, in the amount of $11,390-90,
