That Council, by motion action, concur with the Mayor's recommended appointment to the Planning Commission. BACKGROUND INFORMATION. As indicated below, the City Clerk's office was directed to post for the vacancy on the Planning Commission. The City Council, at its regular meeting of February 19, 2003, has concurred with the Mayor's recommendation to appoint you to the Planning Commission. A copy of this letter will be forwarded to Konradt Bartlam, Community Development Director and Liaison to the Commission, who will contact you shortly regarding the date and time of upcoming meetings. It will be necessary for you to complete a Form 700 — Statement of Economic Interest Assuming Office Statement (enclosed) no later than 30 days from the effective date of your appointment (due Thursday, March 20, 2003 by 5:00 p,m.) Please refer to the enclosed Resolution 2002-235 for disclosure category requirements regarding your particular Board, Commission or Committee. The original statement will be retained by the City Clerk's office, or may be filed with the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC). As you are aware, City Attorney Randall Hays has determined that serving on the Planning Commission would be a conflict of interest with your current position on the RDA PAC Committee. You are therefore required to immediately resign from the RDA PAC Committee and complete a.
