Post For Vacancies And Expiring Terms On The Senior Citizens Commission, Site Plan And Architectural Review Committee, And The East Side Improvement Committee MEETING DATE: February 5, 2003 PREPARED BY. City Clerk RECOMMENDED ACTION: That Council, by motion action, direct the City Clerk to post for the following vacancies and expiring terms on the Senior Citizens Commission, Site Plan and Architectural Review Committee (SPARC), and the East Side Improvement Committee, BACKGROUND INFORMATION. The City Clerk's Office received the attached letter of resignation from Senior Citizens Commissioner Trel.la Arieda. In addition, Howard Vogel, SPARC representative, passed away very recently, thereby creating a vacancy on SPARC. Further, there are three terms due to expire on the East Side Improvement Committee. Therefore, it is recommended that the City Council direct the, City Clerk to post for the vacancies and expiring terms shown below. We were very sorry to hear of Howard's illness, and will certainly miss his contributions to the City. As an active member of the Site Plan and Architectural Review Committee, Howard volunteered a great deal of his time and energy in serving the Lodi City Council and in representing and fostering the quality of life and beautification of our community, As you reflect on the many contributions Howard made, I hope you will feel touched and gratify by the impact and the difference he made in serving as a member of the Site Plan and Architectural Review Committee (SPARC).
