John Sutphin submitted the attached letter (Exhibit A) requesting that the subject of lack of enforcement of applicable City codes and ordinances be placed on a future City Council agenda for discussion and appropriate action. It is recommended that the City Council refer the matter to staff and schedule it for the meeting of January 15, 2003. FUNDING. I have subsequently discussed the true parking matter with staff members of various departments, all of whom have received no complaints from the public. `phase departments included Police, Public Forks, and Community Development. The suggestion was made that if you or any member of the p01flic nOtiCes trucks that are parked in inappropriate locations, the Police Department needs to be contacted for enforcement purposes. I spoke with Rad Bardam, Community Development Director, regarding the issue of the properties on Church Street. Mr. Bartlam indicated that the City has no authority to compel the property owners to do anything to their buildings at this time, as they are not violating any codes.
