HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - November 19, 2003 E-07yOF lCITY OF LODI7 TM COUNCIL COMMUNICATION AGENDA TITLE: Adopt Resolution Accepting a Portion of the Improvements for the Harney Lane Sanitary Sewer Lift Station MEETING DATE: November 19, 2003 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt a resolution accepting a portion of the improvements for the Harney Lane Sanitary Sewer Lift Station. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On December 4, 2002, the City Council approved an improvement agreement with Chris R. Keszler and David Williams for the installation of the Harney Lane Sanitary Sewer Lift Station. In addition to the lift station improvements, the project included the installation of a sanitary sewer force main, trunk line facilities in Harney Lane, and a standby generator. The project is now substantially complete with the installation of an access road and the delivery and installation of the standby generator being the only major items which still need to be done. The contractor has placed a temporary generator at the site until the new generator is delivered and installed. This Harney Lane lift station serves the Century Meadows Three, Unit No. 4 subdivision and a condition of that subdivision improvement agreement states that the Harney Lane Sanitary Sewer Lift Station must be accepted by the City prior to acceptance of the subdivision improvements. As the Century Meadows Three, Unit No. 4 development is also on the November 19, 2003, Council agenda for acceptance of a portion of its improvements, staff is recommending that Council accept the completed portions of the Harney Lane Sanitary Sewer Lift Station improvements so that it can be used by the new residents of Century Meadows Three, Unit No. 4. The lift station and the trunk line facilities in Harney Lane are ready for acceptance. FUNDING: Developer Funds Richard C.
