BACKGROUND INFORMATION: As indicated below, the City Clerk's office was directed to post for vacancies. It is recommended that the City Council concur with the following appointments. Mayor Hitchcock conducted interviews on July 23 — 24, 2003. Lodi Ar®s Commission Andrea Tonkin Term to expire July 1, 2004 Posting of vacancy ordered on 517/03 Elizabeth Giusto Term to expire July 1, 2005 Posting of vacancy ordered on &2ilm NO 8 applicants (5 new applications and 3 applications on file); notice published 5/10/03 and 5/24/03 in the Lodi News -Sentinel; application deadline 6/23/03. A copy of this letter will be forwarded to the City Liaison to the Commission, who will contact you shortly regarding your responsibilities, and the date and time of .upcoming meetings. It will be necessary for you to complete a Form 700 — Statement of Economic Interest Assuming Office Statement (enclosed) no later than 30 days from the effective date of your appointment (due Monday, October 6, 2003 by 5:00 p.m.) Please refer to the enclosed Resolution 2002-235 for disclosure category requirements regarding your particular Board, Commission or Committee. The original statement will be retained by the City Cleric's office, or may be filed with the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC).
