HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - March 17, 2004 E-17ow .19a ,E` J CITY OF LODI 4M MEETINGAT e March '7, 2004 PREPARED '; Community Development Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt a Resolution authorizing the reallocation of $20,962.07 in CDBG Funds from various completed CDBG Projects to the 1998-99 Elm Street Parking Lot Project as detailed below. BACKGROUND INFORMATION-, In the 199B-99 GDBG Program year, the City Council allocated $151,205.00 to the City of Lodi for the Elm Street Parking Lot Project, which involved the acquisition of three blighted properties on nest Elm Street. The acquisition of one of those properties was accomplished through eminent domain, which involved the City de ositinq $30,000 with the State Treasury toward the acquisition coat of the property in question, As that case has now been settled, the City of Lodi now Dawes a remaining balance of $20,800.00 to complete the acquisition. Subsequent to the acquisition of the properties, the City Council reallocated an additional $150,000.00 toward the construction of the parking lot. Since the completion of that project, a balance of $1,950.00 has remained pending resolution of the Eminent Domain action. FUNDING: The Community Improvement Manager has identified the following GDBG funding from completed projects from which to draw the necessary funds for reallocation.
