RECOMMENDED ACTION: That Council, by motion action, direct the City Clerk to post for the
expiring terms on the East Side Improvement Committee.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Several terms are due to expire shortly on the East Side
Improvement Committee. It is, therefore, recommended that the
City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the expiring terms
below.
Eas# Slee Improvement Committee
Allan Levy Term to expire March 1, 2004
Joseph Spinelli Term to expire March 1, 2004
Sunil L. Yadav Term to expire March 1, 2004
State statute requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to
submit an application. The City Council is requested to direct the City Clerk to make the necessary
postings.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Three (3) Vacancies on the
East Side Improvement
Committee
The City of Lodi is currently accepting applications for
the East Side Improvement Committee,
created to assist and advise on property maintenance,
neighborhood improvement, and historical preservation
issues; design and implement programs to reduce blight
and foster community pride; work to reduce crime,
drugs, and blight in coordinating civil actions against
nuisance property owners.
The East Side Improvement Committee meets at 5:00
p.m. on the 1 " Tuesday of each month at the Adopt -A -
Child Building, 100 East Pine Street, and consists of 9
members, each serving 3 -year terms.
Applications are now being accepted to fill three (3)
vacancies on the East Side Improvement Committee for
3 -year terms, which expire on March 1, 2007.
Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk's
office at 221 West Pine Street, 2°d floor. For more
Information call 333-6702 or access the City's Web
site at www.lodi.gov.
Appointments to the committee will be made by the
Mayor with Council approval.
Note: You must be registered to vote In San Joaquin
County at the time of application. If appointed, you will
be required to complete a Statement of Economic
Interest. This Is a volunteer, unpaid position.
