AGENDA TITLE: PURCHASE OF POLEMOUNT TRANSFORMERS
MEETING DATE: APRIL 3, 1991
PREPARED BY: ELECTRIC UTILITY DIRECTOR
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt the attached
revolution awarding the purchase of 69 polemount
transformers to the bidders whose proposals and
equipment met all Electric Utility specifica-
tions, and whose transformers yielded the lowest overall lifecycle costs:

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On February 6, 1991, the City Council approved
specifications and authorized advertisement for
bids. Bids were opened on March 6, 1991. A
summary of the bids received and of the evalua-
tion are shown on Exhibit A.
These transformers will be used to support the Electric Utility Depart-
ment's ongoing PCB transformer replacement program.
FUNDING: The total cost of this purchase is $57,620.34,
with funding available in the Electric Utility
Department's operating fund.

RESOLUTION NO. 91-65
A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING THE BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF 69 POLE -MOUNT TRANSFORMERS
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and
the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on
March 6, 1991 at 11:00 a.m. for the bid for the purchase of 69 pole -mount
transformers, described in the specifications therefor approved by the City Council
on February 6, 1991; and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a
report thereof filed with the City Manager as shown on Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award of the bid for
pole -mount transformers, be made to bidders whose proposals and equipment' -met all
Electric Utility specifications and yielded the lowest overall life -cycle costs, as
follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that award of
bid for 69 pole -mount transformers be and the same is hereby awarded as shown above
in the amount of $57,620.34.
