BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office received a letter of resignation from Planning Commissioner John Beckman, who was recently elected to the Lodi City Council. In addition, there is one term due to expire on SPARC. Therefore, it is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the vacancy and expiring term shown below. Lodi Plannin4 Commission John Beckman Term to expire June 30, 2004 Site Plan and Architectural Review Committee Keith Selleseth Term to expire January 1, 2003 State statute requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The Site Plan & Architectural Review Committee meets at 5:15 p.m. on the 1 at and 3`d Mondays of each month at the Carnegie Forum, and consists of 5 members, each serving 4 -year terms. Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1) vacancy on the Site Plan & Architectural Review Committee due to expire on January 1, 2003, and will appointed to serve a four-year term which expires on January 1, 2007. The Planning Commission meets at 7:00 p.m. on the 2"d & 4th Wednesdays of each month at the Carnegie Forum, and consists of 7 members serving 4 -year terms. Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1) vacancy due to expire June 30, 2004. The selected appointee will serve on the Planning Commission for a 4- yearterm.
