MEETING DATE: July 7, 1993 PREPARED BY: Community Development Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council set a public hearing to consider the following requests of David C. Sproul: 1. to prezone the parcels at 5909 and 6161 East State Route 12 (APN's 049-040-07 and 049-130-22) M-1, Light Industrial; and 2. to certify the filing of a Negative Declaration by the Community Development Director as adequate environmental documentation on the above project. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Mr. Sproul's family owns the property at 6161 East State Route 12 (victor Road) and is desirous of annexing it to the City. In order to accomplish the Sprouls' request the property to its west (5909 East State Route 12) which belongs to the John Taylor Fertilizer Company must also be annexed. The Planning Commission has recommended that both parcels be prezoned M-1, Light Industrial, which is consistent with the General Plan. The San Joaquin Local Agency Formation Commission requires cities to prezone properties before the annexation process can begin. FUNDING: Application fee. =Ja 5 6.
