HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - October 20, 1993 (72)� os CITY OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION AGENDA TITLE: Acceptance of improvements Under Stockton Street Improvements, Lockeford Street to Turner Road, Contract MEETING DATE: October 20, 1993 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the "Stockton Street Improvements, Lockeford Street to Turner Road" contract, and direct the Public Works Director to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's Office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The contract was awarded to George Reed, Inc., of Lodi on June 2, 1993, in the amount of $224,629.00. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was September 15, 1993, and the actual completion date was September 13, 1993. The final contract price was $242,798.46. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to additional manhole work and work done at the north end of the project to improve the street structural section and accommodate the signal work at the comer of Turner Road and Stockton Street.
