HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - November 17, 1993 (59)'14 OF CITY OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION AGENDA TITLE: Acceptance of Improvements Under Eastside Lighting Program MEETING DATE: November 17, 1993 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the "Eastside Lighting Program" contract and dined the Public Works Director to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorders office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The contract was awarded to M & M Electric of Sacramento on April 7, 1993 in the amount of $68,969.00. - The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specification approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was August 8, 1993 and the actual completion date was July 26, 1993. Acceptance of the project was delayed until the labor documents were submitted, reviewed and approved by the County. Problems with the labor documents may have resulted in the County withholding a portion of the Block Grant funding. The final contract price was $70,401.00. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to additional work done to complete the street light installation.
