AGENDA TITLE: Contract Award for Well Drilling, Well €24, 640 North Stockton
Street (North of Grape Bowl Stadium)
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council award the contract for the above
project to Beyiik Drilling Inc. in the amount of $71,590.00. It is also
recommended that the City Council certify the filing of a negative
declaration by the Community Development Director as adequate environmental
documentation for Well #24.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project consists of drilling a production water
well to a depth of 47N feet. Development of the site and the purchase of
pumping equipment will be handled by separate contracts at a later date.
Pians and specifications for this project were approved on November 28, 1990.
The City received the following four bids for this project:

A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR WELL DRILLING, WELL '24,
640 NORTH STOCKTON STREET
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and
the order of this -,ity Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened -on
December 19, 1990, 1990 at 11:00 a.m. for the contract for well drilling, Well #24,
described in the specifications therefor approved by the City Council on November
28, 1990; and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a
report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows:

WHEREAS; the City Manager recommends that award of the contract for
well drilling, Well #24, be made to the low bidder, Beylik Drilling, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that award of
contract for well drilling, Well #24, 640 North Sytockton Street (North of the Lodi
Grape Bowl Stadium) be and the same is hereby awarded to Beylike Drilling, Inc., the
low bidder, in the amount of $71,590.00.

ProjectDescription: The City of Lodi is proposing a new water well and pump at 640 N. Stockton
St. (APN 041-240-27) in an area zoned PUB, Public,. The well and related equipment will
be located at the northwest corner of the Grape Bowl stadium property (15.05 acres)
owned by the City. Well #24 is needed to help in reaching the City's design standard
for available water supply.
This is to advise that the Lodi City Planning Department _has approved the above described project on
