AGENDA TITLE: Acceptance of Improvements Under Pleasant Avenue Sidewalk
Replacement, Alley S/Lodi Avenue to Lodi Avenue Contract
MEETING DATE: July 21, 1993

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the
"Pleasant Avenue Sidewalk Replacement, Alley S/Lodi Avenue to
Lodi Avenue contract, and direct the Public Works Director to
file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The contract was awarded to Allied -West Construction Co. of
Penryn on March 17, 1993 in the amount of $22,243.00. The
contract has been completed in substantial conformance with
the plans and specifications approved by the City Council.
The contract completion date was May 27, 1993, and the actual completion date was
May 27, 1993. The final contract price was $24,015.06. The difference between the
contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to minor increases in the
concrete work and a difference of eight tons of asphalt concrete between the
Engineer's estimate and the actual tonnage placed.
FUNDING: Originally Budgeted: 1993/94
Budgeted Fund: Gas Tax
Current Appropriation: $52,000.00
Total Project Estimate: $33,50C.00
Bid Opening Date: March 3, 1993
