AGENDA TITLE: Accept Improvements Under Contract for Landscape and Irrigation Installation on the
South Hutchins Street Median

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept improvements under contract for landscape
and irrigation installation on the South Hutchins Street median.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to Odyssey Landscape Company, of Lodi, on
December 19, 2001, in the amount of $184,040. The contract has
been completed in substantial conformance with the specifications
approved by the City Council.
The contract completion date and the actual completion date was October 14, 2002. The final contract
price was $185,841. The difference between the contract price and the final contract price is due to
additional irrigation which was not on the plans.
Following acceptance by the City Council, the City Engineer will file a Notice of Completion with the County
Recorder's office.
FUNDING: Budgeted Fund: Street Funds/Public Benefit Funds
