HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - October 16, 2002 E-11AGENDA TITLE: Accept Improvements Under Contract for Armory National Guard Building Retrofit Work, 333 North Washington Street MEETING DATE: October 16, 2002 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the "California Army National Guard Building Retrofit Work, 333 North Washington Street" contract and direct the City Engineer to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to Diede Construction, of Woodbridge, on March 20, 2002, in the amount of $79,321.91. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date and the actual completion date was August 16, 2002. The final contract price was $80,050.82. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to minor increases in the contract quantities for concrete work and sawcutting.
