BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office received the attached letter of resignation. Therefore, it is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the vacancy shown below. Lodi Arts Commission Robin Knowlton Term to expire July 1, 2004 State statute requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. However, I am happy that this resignation is occurring so that I can accept the job as the Lodi Arts Coordinator. The Lodi Arts Commission meets at 12:00 noon on the 2"d Wednesday of each month at the Cottage Room at Hutchins Street Square, and consists of 11 members, each serving 3 -year terms. Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1) vacancy, with the term due to expire July 1, 2004. Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk's office at 221 W. Pine St., 2nd floor.
