RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under Type II Polymer
Modified Slurry Seal, Various City Streets, 2002 Contract.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to Intermountain Slurry Seal, of Loomis, on
July 17, 2002, in the amount of $79,588.10 for 1,283,679 square feet
of application. The contract has been completed in substantial
conformance with the specifications approved by the City Council.
The contract completion date was August 16, 2002. The final contract price was $82,937.96. The
difference between the contract amount and the final contract price was due to additional slurry seal work
done. The slurry seal project covered a total of 1,337,709 square feet. There are sufficient funds in the
current operating budget to cover this increase.
Following acceptance, the City Engineer will file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's Office.
