HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - June 19, 2002 E-10CITY OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATIONRG,FO�� AGENDA TITLE: Adopt a Resolution Awarding Contract to Provide Instrumentation Maintenance Services for the White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility to Alpine Controls, Inc., of Concord ($8,400) MEETING DATE: June 19, 2002 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt a resolution awarding the contract to provide instrumentation maintenance services to Alpine Controls, Inc., of Concord, in the amount of $8,400. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This contract consists of providing instrumentation maintenance services to continue the enhanced quality of maintenance to the instrumentation at White Slough. The instrumentation is currently maintained by City staff and an outside contractor, Alpine Controls, Inc. The environment this equipment is subjected to and the technology involved mandate that comprehensive maintenance is performed to insure that accuracy and dependability is maintained. The term of the contract shall be for one year with two 1 -year renewal options at the City's discretion. A Request for Proposals for this project was approved on May 15, 2002. The City mailed out six request for proposal packets to prospective bidders and received only one bid. Bidder Location Bid Project Estimate $ 9,785 Alpine Controls, Inc. Concord $ 8,400.00 WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends award of the contract to provide instrumentation maintenance services for White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility, be made to the low bidder, Alpine Controls, Inc., of Concord, California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of the contract to provide instrumentation maintenance services for White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility, be made to the low bidder, Alpine Controls, Inc., of Concord, California, in the amount of $8,400.00.
