Meet at Bus Depot on Sacramento Street: Board trolley bus.
Weber/Paden Property (Elm/Locust/Main Streets): City is negotiating purchase of these two
properties. (Drive By)

National Guard Armory/American Legion: The Parks and Recreation Department leases the
Pavilion building for basketball programs each year mid-October to mid-March and the
Cabernet building each year from October 1 to August 1. The National Guard Armory has
just been renovated for year round use under a 5 year lease agreement. (Disembark)
Grape Bowl (North Stockton Street): Grape Bowl in need many renovations (field,
concessions, field house, etc.) Restrooms were renovated summer 2000. Uses include high
school football, youth football, adult softball, and youth softball. (Disembark)
Softball Complex/Lawrence School (Calaveras/Stockton Streets): Lodi LOOK program is
held in the portable building; Lawrence School multi-purpose building is utilized for Easter
Egg hunt breakfast; fields are utilized for youth softball and soccer practices and games.
Example of joint use of LUSD facilities and our needs. (Drive By)
• 6:30 p.m. Lodi Lake Park (Turner Road): Phase I of pedestrian trail recently completed; beach
improvements completed last summer. Phase II anticipated. Tree removal issue. Western
13 acre development and central area improvements planned. (Drive By)
• 6:45 p.m. Katzakian Park/Peterson Park (Everareen Drive): Peterson Park has experienced
vandalism, most recently the destruction of the park sign. Katzakian has been subject of
recent fencing discussion by Parks and Recreation Commission. (Drive By)
• 6:55 p.m. Aquatics Complex Site (end of Vine Street): View potential site for the aquatics complex.

• 7:10 p.m. Kofu Park (Ham Lane): View skate park construction in progress. (Drive By)
• 7:20 p.m. Roaet Park (Tienda Drive): Dead brush and trees have been cleared. (Drive By)
• 7:30 p.m. DeBenedetti Park (Lower Sacramento Road): Site of future youth sports fields. (Disembark)
• 7:45 p.m. Salas Park (South Stockton Street): This is the department's current major youth sports
complex. Used for softball, baseball, soccer, and football games and practices. (Disembark)
• 7:50 p.m. Blakely Park (Stockton/Popular Streets): The east diamond has been renovated through a
citizen donation. Boys and Girls Club utilizing additional park space for programs. Pools
utilized for swim lessons, swim league, Lodi City Swim Club, and Bear Creek High School.
