HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - May 15, 2002 E-03AGENDA TITLE: Approve Plans and Specifications and Authorize Advertisement for Bids for White Slough
Control Building Reroof Project
MEETING DATE: May 15, 2002
PREPARED BY: Public Works Director
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the plans and specifications for the White
Slough Control Building Reroof project and authorize advertising for bids.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The White Slough Control Building was constructed in 1967. The
roof has had varying amounts of maintenance and repair work done
since then, but has not been replaced. A roof survey performed in
1997 confirmed this roof has exceeded its useful life and is a
candidate for priority replacement. Several areas have undergone numerous repairs with mixed results.
Due to the increasing number of annual repairs and patches it's apparent the entire roof is in immediate
need of replacement. Approximately 9,600 square feet of roof need replacing.
The plans and specifications are on file in the Public Works Department.
FUNDING: The money for this project will be coming from the Wastewater Fund. A request for
appropriation of funds will be made at contract award.
