HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - June 4, 2002 B-01 SMCITY OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION
AGENDA TITLE: Capital Budget Priorities
MEETING DATE: June 4, 2002 (Special Meeting)
PREPARED BY: Public Works Director
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council review the Draft Major Capital Project listing and
provide direction on priorities.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: At the May 28, 2002 shirtsleeve session, the City Council reviewed
the normal minor capital budget and discussed the list of major
capital projects that are currently in various stages of
implementation.
In addition to project descriptions, the cost of the projects, and, in particular, the increases in costs over
previous budget estimates were discussed. It was clear that the total cost of the projects would require
phasing or other project prioritization. The project list showing General Fund projects only, plus the listing of
previous cost estimates is attached.
Staff is working on developing a project schedule and funding analysis and will present additional information
at the meeting.
FUNDING: Not applicable.
