BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Several terms are due to expire on the East Side Improvement Committee. Therefore, it is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the expiring terms shown below. East Side Improvement Committee Virginia Lahr Term to expire March 1, 2002 Mark Gisler Term to expire March 1, 2002 Felix Magana Term to expire March 1, 2002 State statute requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The East Side Improvement Committee meets at 6:00 p.m. on the 1St Thursday of each month at Salem United Methodist Church, and consists of 9 members, each serving 3 -year terms. Applications are now being accepted to fill four (4) vacancies on the East Side Improvement Committee for a three-year term, one which expires March 1, 2004, and three which expire on March 1, 2005. Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk's office at 221 W. Pine St., 2"d floor. For more information call 333-6702, or access the City's Web site at www.lodi.gov.
