watthour meters (EUD)

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the specifications and authorize
advertisement for bids for the purchase of 384 electric watthour
meters.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Electric Utility Department's Meter Division has requested that 384
single-phase watthour meters be purchased to provide an inventory for
installation of meters at new residential developments throughout the
city, as well as for replacement of obsolete and deteriorated meters
located during meter testing.

EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS
WATTHOUR METERS
GENERAL
Meters shall be single-phase watthour self-contained socket -type having glass covers.
A label marked "City of Lodi" and a sequential number beginning with 37163 shall be
factory installed on each meter. Shipping boxes shall show on the outside the
sequential number of the meter contained therein.

Form 2S.
STANDARDS
The meters shall conform to the following standards or latest version thereof:
American National Standard (ANSI) C12.1-1995, C12.16-1991 as appropriate.
RESETTING OF ELECTRONIC METERS
Proposal based on solid state meters shall include, at no additional cost to the City, a means of
resetting the registers to 00000.
