BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On October 24, 2001, seven bids were received and opened for this project. The bid results are tabulated below: BIDDER AMOUNT Kinnan Engineering, Inc. Installation of these substructures will allow the Department to remove City owned overhead electric distribution facilities on Cherokee Lane. All crossings of Cherokee Lane will be by Directional Horizontal Boring. AT&T Broadband (CATV) is participating in the Vine Street crossing and will be reimbursing the City for their share of the costs at this crossing. The substructures in the Sunwest area are required for a new 12 kV feeder to the west side of town from Henning Substation. These substructures will also allow removal of overhead distribution facilities in the vicinity of the Twin Arbors Athletic Club pool. Plans and Specifications for this project were approved by the City Council at the meeting of October 3, 2001.
