t
AGENDA TITLE: Reallocation of Community Development Block Grant Funds (CDBG) from
Various Prior Year's Accounts into thc Lodi Boys and Girls Club Account.
MEETING DATE: November 16. 1994

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council take action to reallocate S150.716.20 from
several prior year's completed Block Grant accounts into the project

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Council. in April of this year. allocated 5400,000 of the
City's 1993-95 CDBG allocation to the Lodi Boys and Girls Club to
assist them with the constuction of a new facility at Blakely Park.
Since the project's bid opening on October 13. 1994. thc Boys and Girls Club Board has notified City staff
that they still have a funding shortage of approximately S250,000. The Board is requesting an additional
allocation of 5150,000, which, together with other funds, either from private sources or a bank loan.
would enable them to begin construction on the Blakely Park facility, utilizing the current low bidder.
