BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project consists of furnishing and installing a 125 -horsepower electric motor and deep -well turbine water pump for the new water well at Well 25, located at the Washington School site off Holly Drive. Occasionally, one manufacturer will have a pump and motor combination more efficient than their competitors'. If the bid price of the equipment proposed is dose, the electrical efficiency of the equipment could stow one biddees equipment more cost effective than another. The power cost shown represents approximately one year of nonstop running time. A copy of the cost analysis is attached. Plans and specifications for this project were approved on November 2, 1994. WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award of the bid for Well 25 Pump and Motor, 1014 Holly Drive, be made to the lowest bidder, Kirby's Pump and Mechanical of Rancho Cordova, California; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that award of bid for well 25 Pump and Motor, 1014 Holly Drive, be and the same is hereby awarded to Kirby's Pump and Mechanical of Rancho Cordova, California, the lowest bidder, in the amount of $23,775.00.
