CITY OF LODI
L
NCIL COMMUNICATION
AGENDA TITLE: Appointments to Northern California Power Agency and
Transmission Agency of Northern California
MEETING DATE: December 7, 1994
SUBMITTED BY: City Manager
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council confirm the appointments of City
representatives to the commissions of the Northern
California Power Agency (NCPA) and'the Transmission
Agency of Northern California (TAMC) as set forth in Exhibit A attached.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: With the retirement of former Electric Utility
Director Henry Rice there is the need to redesignate
the City's representatives to NCPA and TAMC. The names
listed on Exhibit A are to cover the interim period during the recruitment of a
new Electric Utility Director. It is anticipated that it will probably be a
minimum of four to five months before a replacement is on board. At that time
a more permanent designation can be confirmed by the City Council.
The primary representative to NCPA will be Jack Stone, Manager, Rates and
Resources. The City's business with TAMC will be handled primarily by Mike
McDonald, NCPA's General Manager. Mr. McDonald currently represents some other
cities at TAMC commission meetings and has advised that he would be more than
willing to serve the City of Lodi in such a capacity during this interim period.
FUNDING: None required
