HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - November 2, 1994 (31)CITY COUNCL MEETING NOVEMBER 2, tail COMPLAINT REGARDING CRIME ON EAST SIDE Mike Meek, 325 East Pins Street, Log, complained about the crime, gangs, dugs and prostitution problems along the 200 and 300 blocks of East Pine Street and urged the City Council to adopt stronger ordinances to adWess the situation. The Police Department has been very quick to respond and takes are of matters as they happen; however, the criminals are back an the street the next day. Stronger laws should be In place assuring that landlords keep buildings dsaned and maintained and not allow Illegal activities from happening on its premises. Chief Hansen responded that this area's crime rats is quite high, and beginning Thursday the Police Department will be beefing up its patrol in this SW OS a new program. WASHINGTON DRUGS, GANGS AND OTHER ACTIVITY POLICE HAVE 18 PAGES OF CALLS FROM THESE ADDRESSES. 4.4161/2 EDEN GANG ACTIVITY 5.503 AND 505 E. TOKAY GANGS 6.322 E. HE MANAGED TO CLEAN UP HIS APPARTMENTS THAT ONCE SHARED ALL OF THE ABOVE PROBLEMS.
