BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The following actions were taken at the last regular Planning Commission
meeting of September 12, 1994:
b. Conditionally approved the request of Terry Piazza, Baumbach and Pia— Inc. on behalf
of R E. Service Corp. for a Tentative Parcel Map to create 4 parcels from 1 parcel at 400
South Beckman Road (APN 049-070-58) in an area zoned M-2, Heavy Industrial.
C. Continued until Monday, October 10, 1994 review of the Use Permit granted to Nadar
Haddad for a temporary office trailer at 310 North Sacramento Street (APN 041-166-03) in
an area zoned M-2, Heavy Industrial. The Use Permit was approved by the Planning
Commission on July 27, 1992 and renewed for one year on August 24, 1994.
d. Approved, for a 3 -year period, the request of Lustre -Cal Corporation for a Use Permit for
three temporary storage trailers at 110 East Turner Road (APN 041-24049) in an area
zoned M-2, Heavy Industrial.
C. Reviewed, but took no action on the San Joaquin County referral of the request of Greenlaw
Grupe, Jr. for a General Plan Amendment and rezoning classification for a 20 -acre portion
of the parcel at 15000 North Thornton Road and State Route 12) from General Agriculture
to Commercial -Freeway Services.
FUNDING: None required.

AGENDA ITEM RECOMMENDATION
a 1. That the City Council amend the land use element of the General Plan
to redesignate from "O", Office'rstitutional to E -R, Eastside Residential
the following properties: 200, 210 and 220 West Oak Street; 300 and 400
blocks of West Oak Street; 200, 300 and 400 blocks of West Walnut Street
except 420 West Walnut Street, 104 through 233 South Pleasant Avenue;
112 through 237 South Lee Avenue; 9 North Hutchins Street; 503 through
510 West Pine Street; and 5 through 25 South Hutchins Street.
2. That the City Council rezone from R -C -P, Residential -Commercial -
Professional to R-1 *, Single -Family Residential - Eastside the following
properties: 200, 210 and 220 West Oak Street, 300 and 400 blocks of
West Oak Street; 200, 300 and 400 blocks of West Walnut Street except
420 West Walnut Street; 104 through 233 South Pleasant Avenue; 112
through 237 South Lee Avenue; 9 North Hutchins Street; 503 through 510
West Pine Street; and 5 through 25 South Hutchins Street.
3. That the City Council certify the filing of a negative declaration by the
Community Development Director as adequate environmental
documentation on the above projects.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The following actions were taken at the last regular Planning
Commission meeting of September 26, 1994.
b. Extended for two years the use permit request of the City of Lodi Parks
and Recreation Department for a temporary modular building located at the
Parks and Recreation Department, 125 North Stockton Street in an area
zoned Public. The original use permit was granted on May 23, 1988, and
renewed several times since that date.
C. Heard a presentation by Assistant City Manager Jerry Glenn on the City's
transit system.

use permit request of David and Cherie DeJong to operate a day care
facility for 12 children at 1101 Bradford Circle in an area zoned P D(41
Planned Development District No. 4.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE 19 HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday. November 16. Mill at the hour of 7:00 p.m.. or
as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard. the City Council win conduct a Public Hearing to ,
consider the following matter.
a) Planning Commission's.nwoulation on the following matter:

their views and comments on this matter. Written statements may be filed with the City Clerk at
any time prior to the hearing scheduled herein, and oral statements may be made at said hearing.
If you challenge the subject matter in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or
someone else raised at the Pubic Hearing described In this notice or in written correspondence
delivered to the City Clerk, 221 West Pine Street. at or prior to the Public Hearing.
