COUNCIL COMMUNICATION
AGENDA TITLE: Specifications and Advertisement for Bids for
Watthour Meters ($11,500)
MEETING DATE: September 7, 1994
PREPARED BY: Electric Utility Director
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the specifications
and authorize advertisement for bids for the pur-
chase of 384 electric watthour meters.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Electric Utility Department's Metering Divi-
sion has requested that 384 single-phase watthour
meters be purchased to provide an inventory for
installation of meters in new housing developments
such as Johnson Ranch, Towne Ranch, Lodi West, and Century Meadows Units 1
and 2, as well as for replacement of obsolete and deteriorated meters
located during meter testing.
FUNDING: The estimated cost of this purchase is $11,500.
Funding is available in the Electric Utility
Department's Operating Fund.

EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS
WATTHOUR METERS
GENERAL
Meter shall be single-phase watthour with clock dial register,
self-contained socket -type having "Lexan" cover. A label marked "City
of Lodi" and a sequential number beginning with 33472 shall be factory
installed on each meter. Shipping boxes shall show on the outside the
sequential number of the meters contained within.

Form 2S, 4 terminal, 240 volt, 3 wire, Class 200, 5 dials, Kh 7.2,
test amps. 30, multiplying factor 1.
