HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - July 6, 1994 (52)or CITY OF LODI 0 COUNCIL COMMUNICATION AGENDA TITLE: Contract Award for Holly Drive Storm Drain and Water Main, Ham Lane to 1.50 Feet East of Fairmont Avenue ($82,552) MEETING DATE: July 6, 1994 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the above project to Robert Bums Construction of Stockton in the amount of $82,552. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project consists of installing approximately 800 linear feet of storm drain and 700 linear feet of water main, and other incidental and related work, all as shown on the pians and specifications for the project. These improvements are required to connect future water Well 25 to the City's distribution system. Well 25 is located in the Washington School play field on Holly Drive. Plans and specifications for this project were approved on June 1, 1994. The City received the following four bids for this project: Bidder Engineer's Estimate Robert Bums Construction Steve's Construction and Welding G & L Brock Construction Co. George Reed, Inc. George Reed, Inc. LOCATION BID $ 79,885 Stockton $ 82,552 Rio Vista $ 88,760 Stockton $107,216 Lodi $109,922 WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award of the bid for Holly Drive Storm Drain and Water Main, be made to the low bidder, Robert Burns Construction; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that award of bid for Holly Drive Storm Drain and Water Main, Ham Lane to 150 Feet East of Fairmont Avenue, be and the same is hereby awarded to Robert Burns Construction of Stockton, California, the low bidder, in the amount of $82,552.00.
