AGENDA TITLE: Report of Sale of Sewer Inspection Van and Related
System Equipment (Information Only)

RECOMMENDED ACTION: None required. This report to the City Council is
made in compliance with Lodi Municipal Code Section
2-12-120.
On June 28, 1994, the City completed the sale of one surplus sewer inspection
van, mounted with a sewer inspection television and recording system, to the
Humboldt Conjnunity Services District in Eureka, California, in the amount of
$9,500.00.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On March 17, 1993 the City Council authorized the
sale of the surplus van and equipment formerly used
by the Water/Wastewater Division.
Bids were sent to nine companies expressing an interest in the equipment;
none submitted a proposal. During the ensuing year further efforts were made
to generate interest in the equipment, and on June 8, 1994, the City received
an offer from Humboldt Community Services District to purchase the van for
$9,500. In accordance with Lodi Municipal Code Section 2.12.120, Part C,
Subparts 1 and 2, "If (bidding procedures) produce no bids ... offers in any
form may be solicited and accepted without further competitive procedures",
the offer was accepted and the sale was completed.
