AGENDA TITLE: Accept Improvements Under Contract for Lodi Lake Bicycle/Pedestrian Corridor
Project (Phase 1), 1101 West Turner Road

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the "Lodi Lake
Bicycle/Pedestrian Corridor Project (Phase 1), 1101 West Turner Road"
contract.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to A. M. Stephens Construction Company, Inc.,
of Lodi, on November 15, 2000, in the amount of $731,268.75.
The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with
the plans and specifications approved by the City Council.
The contract completion date was June 13, 2001, and the actual completion date was June 8, 2001.
The final contract price was $821,022.48. Contract Change Order #1 was brought to Council as an
informational item on February 7, 2001. Contract Change Order #2 addresses additional work done to
improve the parking lot exit, a new handicap ramp at Mills Avenue and Turner Road, and an increase in
cost because the contractor was asked to sod the beach area instead of hydroseeding it.
Following acceptance by the City Council, the City Engineer will file a Notice of Completion with the
County Recorder's office.
FUNDING: Budgeted Fund: Parks and Recreation Impact Fees $116,000.00
Special State of California Allocation $197,000.00
Measure K $175,000.00
Transportation Development Act $334,000.00
Contract Amount: $821,022.48
