HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - August 15, 2001 E-12COUNCILCITY OF LODI • • IL 1 9<�FOR� AGENDA TITLE: Accept Improvements Under Contract for Salas Park Playground Improvements, 2001 South Stockton Street, Hutchins Street Square, 600 West Oak Street, Century Park Playground Improvements, Century Boulevard and Church Street MEETING DATE: August 15, 2001 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the "Salas Park Playground Improvements, 2001 South Stockton Street, Hutchins Street Square, 600 West Oak Street, Century Park Playground Improvements, Century Boulevard and Church Street" contract. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to A.M. Stephens Construction Company, of Lodi, on March 21, 2001, in the amount of $150,889.00. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was August 9, 2001, and the actual completion date was June 1, 2001. The final contract price was $162,746.60. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to the estimated quantities being less than the actual work done by the contractor. Following acceptance by the City Council, the City Engineer will file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. FUNDING: Budgeted Fund: 1998/99 Community Development Block Grant Funds $31,645.00 1999/00 Community Development Block Grant Funds $90,535.00 2000/01 Community Development Block Grant Funds $40,670.00 Contract Amount: $162,850.00 Richard C.
