In just three hours time, those volunteers and residents amassed a total of 24 tons of junk and debris which was picked up and disposed of by Central Valley Waste. Those volunteers returned every other weekend from that inaugural date and helped residents clean up debris, fix, replace and paint fences, weed and cut yards and flowerbeds, and make small repairs. The Adopt -A- Block Program was wrapped up on July 21 st with a celebration that was held at Hale Park. Free food, refreshments, entertainment and games were provided that day to those who live in the neighborhood. For their dedication and their incredible accomplishments, the City of Lodi and the Eastside Improvement Committee wishes to recognize Century Assembly with the Community Improvement Award.
