RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt a resolution awarding the contract for type II polymer
modified slurry seal for various City streets, 2001, to Intermountain Slurry Seal, of
Loomis, in the amount of $74,918.37.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project consists of applying type II polymer modified slurry seal to
1,209,995 square yards of various City streets, and other incidental and related
work as outlined in the specifications. This work is done annually by contract_
Specifications for this project were approved on June 20, 2001. The City received the following four bids for this
project:

A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING CONTRACT FOR TYPE 11 POLYMER
MODIFIED SLURRY SEAL FOR VARIOUS CITY
STREETS, 2001

WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the
order of this City Council sealed bids were received and publicly opened on July 5, 2001
at 11:00 a.m. for Type II Polymer Modified Slurry Seal for Various City Streets, 2001,
described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on June -20, 2001;
and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report
thereof filed with the City Manager as follows:

Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc., of Loomis, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award
of the contract for Type II Polymer Modified Slurry Seal for Various City Streets, 2001,
be and the same is hereby awarded to the low bidder, Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc., of
Loomis, California, in the amount of $74,918.37.
