HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - December 20, 1995 (66)os CITY OF LODI `acre a�� COUNCIL COMMUNICATION AGENDA TITLE: Modification of Council Action regarding Salary Increases for City Manager and City Attorney MEETING DATE: December 20, 1995 SUBMITTED BY: Human Resources Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council rescind the authorization to increase the salary of the City Manager and City Attorney effective the first pay period of January 1996. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On December 21, 1994, the City Council met to discuss salary increases for unrepresented management employees and City Council appointees. An increase of 3.0% was authorized for the City Manager and 6.0% was authorized for the City Attorney. Although the intent of the action was to increase the compensation for the incumbents of the positions, the minutes reflected the classifications rather than the individual employees. The incumbents of these positions have since separated employment with the City of Lodi. This action was not meant to be applied to future appointees and should therefore be rescinded.
