HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - April 4, 1995H;.- CIW OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION AGENDA TITLE: Contract Award for Transit Administration Offices, 115 North Pleasant Avenue ($21,000) MEETING DATE: April 5,1995 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the above project to Wall Construction of Modesto in the amount of $21,000. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project consists of remodeling approximately 300 square feet of the Dial -a -Ride Building at 115 North Pleasant Avenue to provide additional office space, and other incidental and related work, all as shown on the plans and specifications for the project. The funding for this work was included in the TDA claim approved by the City Council at its meeting of February 15, 1995. Plans and specifications for this project were approved on February 1, 1995. The City received the following three bids for this project: Bidder Location Bid Engineers Estimate $25,060 Wall Construction Modesto $21,000 McDonald -Glenn Manteca $24,590 Diede Construction Woodbridge $35,048 FUNDING: Originally Budgeted: 1995 Budgeted Fund: Transportation Development Act Current Appropriation: $30,000 Total Project Estimate: $30,000 Bid Opening Date: April 4, 1995 . City Manager CAWARD.DCC =X1%C-' RESOLUTION NO. 95-47 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION OFFICES 115 NORTH PLEASANT AVENUE WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council sealed bids were received and publicly opened on April 4, 1995 at 11:00 a.m. for the remodel of the Transit Administration Offices, 115 North Pleasant Avenue, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on February 15, 1995; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidde Location Bid Engineer's Estimate $25,000 Wall Construction Modesto $21,000 McDonald -Glenn Manteca $24,590 Diede Construction Woodbridge $35,046 WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award of the contract for the remodel of the Transit Administration Offices, 115 North Pleasant Avenue, be made to the lowest bidder, Wall Construction of Modesto, CA; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that award of contract for the remodel of the Transit Administration Offices, 115 North Pleasant Avenue, be and the same is hereby awarded to Wall Construction of Modesto, CA, the lowest bidder, in the amount of $21,000.
