BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project will relieve sewage backup problems in the area by replacing 2,000 feet of 6 -inch diameter wastewater pipe with 10 -inch diameter pipe. All the wastewater services in the alley will be replaced and new cleanouts will be installed. Plans and specifications for this project were approved on March 15, 1995. PETERSON recycled paper City Manager CAWARD.DOC 04H2l&C_1 RESOLUTION NO. 95-51 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR WASTEWATER PIPE IMPROVEMENTS, ALLEY SOUTH OF LOCUST STREET, WASHINGTON STREET TO CHEROKEE LANE WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council sealed bids were received and publicly opened on April 5, 1995 at 11:00 a.m. for the bid for Wastewater Pipe Improvements, Alley South of Locust Street, Washington Street to Cherokee Lane described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on March 15, 1995; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidder Location Amount Engineer's Estimate $213,650 Crutchfield Construction Stockton $152,350 Teichert Construction Stockton $181,616 Environmental Construction Sacramento $189,740 Jardin Pipeline, Inc. Vallejo $452,500 WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends award of the bid for Wastewater Pipe Improvements, Alley South of Locust Street, Washington Street to Cherokee Lane to the lowest bidder, Crutchfield Construction of Stockton, CA; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of the bid for Wastewater Pipe Improvements, Alley South of Locust Street, Washington Street to Cherokee Lane be and the same is hereby awarded to Crutchfield Construction of Stockton, CA, the lowest bidder, in the amount of $152,350.00.
