PETERSON recycled paper City Manager cc -1 April 9, 1995 Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers City of Lodi P.O.Box 3006 a t'l.`}i Lodi, CA 95241-1910 Gentlemen, This letter is to encourage the City Council to hire a full-time Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Lodi as soon as possible. As per the Central City Revitalization Strategy adopted by the council in December, 1994, the first objective for the East -Side Neighborhood is to expand the code enfocement efforts. Hiring an officer to a full-time position is necessary to help to eliminate the blighted and unsafe conditions of this area. If we have any chance or hope to encourage home ownership and renovation of the East -Side Neighborhood, we need to correct the increasingly negative image of this neighborhood. The C.C.R.T.F, stongly urges the City Council to swiftly move to establish this full-time position. Thank you for your prompt action. Sincerely Tdnygal9,Chair Central City Revitalization Task Force cc/ccrtf,esic
