HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - January 4, 1995Q CITY OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION c44F P��P AGENDA TITLE: Public Hearing to consider the Use of Federal Transit Assistance (FTA) Funds for Fiscal Year 1994/95 MEETING DATE: January 4, 1995 SUBMITTED BY: Assistant City Manager RECOMMENDED ACTION: The City Council receive comments from the public on the appropriate uses of Federal Transit funds for fiscal year 1994/95. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: One of the requirements for submitting the City's application for FTA grants is that we receive input from the public on the uses of these funds. We are schedule to receive $233,559 for operating assistance and $386,472 for capital uses. It is staff Is intention to recommend to the City Council that all funds available for operations be utilized to subsidize the Dial -A -Ride and GrapeLine operations. Possible uses of the capital money are as follows: ° replacing existing vehicles ° creating a bus facility ° adding a maintenance bay at the Municipal Service Center equipment maintenance shop.
