AGENDA TITLE: Recognition presented to the Storm Drain Detectives (CM)

BACKGROUND: The Lodi Storm System and Mokelumne River Citizen Monitoring
Project helped to develop a citizen monitoring program of the Lodi
Storm System. This program has allowed our local high school
teachers, students, and local citizens to participate in a monthly river sampling.
The purpose has been to collect reliable monthly data from nine different sites on the river, including seven
storm drain sites, Woodbridge Irrigation Dam area, and the area above our storm drain system, east of the
solid waste transfer station. This data is posted on the City of Lodi website for public viewing.
The website was created by Bret Erikson, Lodi High School, and Kelsey Cardoni, City of Lodi. The goals of the
website are to educate the public on water quality.
