Bids were evaluated on price, leadtime, and conformance with specifications. Because this conductor is planned for installation this summer at Century Meadows #1, Unit 2, Century Meadows #4, Unit 2, Tienda Place Units A and B, the Parisis development in Grid 58, and the Beck/Perlegos development in Grid 58, Nexans' twenty-four week leadtime will not work for us. Further, Nexans has offered #350 triplex that fails to meet EUD specifications in three categories, which is also not acceptable. Staff therefore recommends award to the second -low bidder, Western States Electric, whose cable meets specifications and whose leadtime will support the department's subdivision installation schedule.
