HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2023-202RESOLUTION NO. 2023-202 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ADDITIONAL CHANGE ORDERS TO FIRE STATION 3 AND FIRE STATION 4 SECURITY GATES AND GENERATOR PROJECT; AND FURTHER APPROPRIATING FUNDS WHEREAS, this project provides Fire Station 3, located at 2141 South Ham Lane, and =ire Station 4, located at 180 North Lower Sacramento Road, with an automated vehicular gate -o provide site security to meet today's standards; and replaces a driveway and a 46 -year old generator at Fire Station 3; and WHEREAS, on March 2, 2022, Council awarded the project to Sauren Construction, of Newcastle, in the amount of $374,972 and authorized the City Manager to execute change orders up to $37,000; and WHEREAS, on November 16, 2022, the Council authorized the City Manager to execute additional change orders up to $61,000, and appropriate funds in the amount of $61,000; and WHEREAS, staff has requested additional out -of -scope work that needed immediate repairs and/or was related work, which was beneficial to the City to include; and WHEREAS, staff recommends authorizing City Manager to execute additional change orders to Fire Station 3 and Fire Station 4 Security Gates and Generator Project in the amount of $50,000; and WHEREAS, staff further recommends transferring funds in the amount of $50,000 from the Church Street Parking Lot Improvements Project GFCP-21008 (43199000.77020) to the Fire Station Gates Project GFCP-22002 (43199000.77020). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute additional change orders to Fire Station 3 and Fire Station 4 Security Gates and Generator Project in the amount of $50,000; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby transfer funds in 1he amount of $50,000 from the Church Street Parking Lot Improvements Project GFCP-21008 (43199000.77020) to the Fire Station Gates Project GFCP-22002 (43199000.77020); and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol Manual (adopted 11/6/19, Resolution No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make minor revisions to the above -referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation or term, and to make clerical corrections as necessary.
