HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2023-195RESOLUTION NO. 2023-195 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH UNITED SITE SERVICES, INC., OF PHOENIX, ARIZONA, FOR RENTAL EQUIPMENT, PORTABLE TOILETS, AND HAND WASH STATION FOR VARIOUS PARK LOCATIONS AND CITY -SPONSORED PUBLIC EVENTS WHEREAS, the Lodi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department entered into a Professional Services Agreement with United Site Services, Inc., on June 24, 2021, for rental equipment, portable toilets, hand wash stations, and other similar rental stations for use of the public for hygiene and convenience at various park locations and City -sponsored public events; and WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1, executed on September 20, 2022, added $10,000 for increased sanitation services, for a total contract amount of $53,052; and WHEREAS, the Lodi Lake north restroom was destroyed by arson fire on June 4, 2023, thereby requiring the restroom facility be closed to the public, and portable toilets and hand wash stations are necessary for public use; and WHEREAS, City Council at its July 19, 2023 meeting, allocated $283,000 for the Lodi Lake North Restroom Fire Damage Repair Project, which includes $33,000 for portable toilets and hand wash stations for the period of one year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement with United Site Services, Inc., of Phoenix, Arizona, to add $33,000 to the overall agreement, for a total not -to -exceed amount of $86,052 for up to five years; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol Manual (Res. No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make minor revisions to t -ie above -referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation or term, and to make clerical corrections as necessary.
